BERLIN, March 18, 2016 — AdlOptica Optical Systems GmbH has announced aThermoXX protective windows for high-power laser applications such as welding or selective laser melting.

Minimizing thermally induced focus shift and aberrations stabilizes operation of material processing equipment, especially ones with beam-shaping optical systems.

When operating in conditions of static or dynamic laser heating, the clean or contaminated windows demonstrate <0.1 Rayleigh length focus shift and <1/4 wavelength wave aberration, guaranteeing diffraction-limited beam focusing. A variety of dimensions, antireflection and a power density of up to 3 kW/cm2 are available.
