HARPENDEN, England, April 8, 2016 — Piezo-Driven Alignment Packages Automated alignment packages from Elliot Scientific include the company’s piezo controlled Martock Gold series flexure stages.

The systems offer either 25 or 100 μm of advanced automated piezo-driven movement in 2 axes, and up to 2 mm of manual adjustment in 3 axes.

A typical system, such as the 10 nm resolution Elliot Scientific E2323, consists of an Elliot Martock MDE123 Gold Series XYZ flexure stage with 25 μm piezo actuators, an Elliot Scientific 3-channel E1100 piezo controller and an Elliot Scientific E2300 USB-equipped DALi 3 interface for automated alignment. A PC or laptop for driving the software is required and can be customer-supplied or purchased.

Uses include fiber launch systems for single-mode, multimode and polarization maintaining fibers, waveguide and photonic device alignment, and some manipulation applications in the biosciences.
