JENA, Germany — Microscope CamerasJenoptik AG has announced the Progres Gryphax Arktur and Naos cameras for routine microscopy use.

With a high light yield and wide dynamic range, subjects can be explored at a very low noise level on high-resolution monitors. The USB 3.0 interface ensures the presentation of live images at video speed, without delay.

The Arktur model captures images with a resolution of 2 to 8 MP. A frame rate of 30 fps is featured with live image display on the 4K monitors without delay.

The Naos model is designed specifically for the recording of high-contrast samples with a dynamic range of  >70 dB. Further benefits of the microscope camera include resolutions up to 20 MP on a 1-in. chip.

Applications include medicine, quality control and forensics. Operating software includes panaroma, Z-stacking and multifluorescence tools.
