BRAUNSCHWEIG,Germany, April 27, 2016 — 3D ScannerAicon 3D Systems' entry-level PrimeScan scanner line enables precise 3D digitization of industrial components.

The scanner works with Aicon’s OptoCat software to create precise point-clouds with high data quality. With a base area equaling a DIN A4 sheet, total weight of 3 kg and short working distance, the system is designed for desktops and other applications in cramped spaces.

Measuring fields between 50 and 1000 mm are available. Camera resolutions of 2, 5 or 8 MP are available. PrimeScan is equipped with blue-light technology for industrial applications or white light-technology for scanning with additional color information as required in arts, culture and design.
