Schneider GmbH & Co. KG has announced the UPC 300 and UPC 700 three-axis machines for the machining of freeform surfaces.

An optional long stroke fast tool feature increases productivity by processing a wide range of freeform geometries without the need for slow tool machining. An axis straightness of < 0.1 μm/100 mm is featured.

The optional Y-axis turns the UPC 300, with a 300-mm workpiece diameter, into the UPC 700, with a 700-mm workpiece diameter, enabling additional diamond milling and ruling of complex freeform geometries or micro-features for maximum machining flexibility.
