SAN JOSE, Calif. — Horticultural LED EmittersA range of high-power color and white LED emitters for horticultural applications has been announced by LED Engin Inc.

Alongside the typical colors used in horticultural applications, such as blue 450 nm, deep red 660 nm and far red 740 nm, the company is adding custom solutions that include three new direct colors of violet at 415 nm, royal blue at 436 nm, cyan at 500 nm, a phosphor-converted green and full white CCT options from 2200 to 6500 K.

Emitters are available in single-die packages, as well as multi-die, multi-channel, high-power density ceramic packages of up to 25 die in a single emitter, rated for 3- to 80-W maximum power dissipation. The emitters feature a low thermal resistance of 0.5 to 6.0° C/W, which ensures efficient heat dissipation. The packages are designed with a glass primary lens to deliver exceptional robustness in challenging growing environments with high ambient temperature and humidity to promote plant growth and make year-round cultivation possible.
