FITCHBURG, Mass. — The Hyperspec Chlorophyll Fluorescence Sensor from Headwall Photonics Inc. is a spectral imaging sensor that collects chlorophyll fluorescence data vital to understanding plant and crop photosynthesis.

The sensor collects image data across the chlorophyll fluorescence emission spectrum from 670 to 780 nm, allowing both the oxygen-A and oxygen-B bands to be exploited for more accurate insight into photosynthetic processes. The sensor uses an all-reflective approach and precise diffraction gratings for high signal-to-noise performance, which is vital to capturing scientific-grade data across this critical spectral range.

Applications include crop science and climatology.
