The LensMechanix 3.0 add-in for optomechanical development from Zemax LLC is designed for the SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD program.
This release includes new features to further simplify the transition from optical design to mechanical design. Users can quickly isolate spot size, beam clipping and image contamination issues using the new design troubleshooter tool in the optical performance summary table. With two clicks, users can also create ISO 10110 drawings for manufacturing optical components.
The system provides visual representations of information about optical component tolerances and sensitivities.
