PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Zinc Selenide Focusing LensesA line of zinc selenide (ZnSe) focusing lenses from Laser Research Optics are optimized for use with steel cutting lasers up to 4 kW.

The CO2 Laser Lenses come in plano-convex and meniscus configurations in 1- to 2-in. OD sizes with thicknesses ranging from 0.250 to 0.380 in. They are offered with standard AR coatings that provide <0.2 percent total absorption or a proprietary “Cool-Cut” coating that absorbs <0.15 percent of laser energy to protect against heat damage.

Suitable for OEMs or field replacements, the lenses feature focal lengths from 3  to 10 in., in 0.5-in. increments, and are optimized for 10.6 μm and can be supplied plain or mounted. Available for 200-W to 4-kW CO2 cutting lasers, the lenses are made for Amada, Cincinnati, Mazak, Mitsubishi, Prima, Strippit, Trumpf and more.
