Miniaturized multi-channel detectors from InfraTec GmbH feature a central window in the sensor cap. The robust broadband filter offers protection against penetrating moisture, and can be soldered to the housing to create a complete hermetic seal.
With the channels placed inside the detectors, they are shielded from mechanical, physical and environmental stress, and they are also located closer to the pyroelectric elements. The reduction of this distance and the central window integrated into the detector caps ensure a wider field of view. At the same time, all elements are placed closer together inside the detectors. This allows more radiation to reach the pyroelectric element and therefore a higher signal.
Because of their modular stack design, the detectors are available with and without thermal compensation. The compact, miniaturized construction allows for more analysis channels with unchanged detector size.
