ANDOVER, Mass. — MKS Instruments Inc. has announced FemtoOptics Ultrathin AR-Coated Windows from Newport Corp., specifically designed to help with the minimization and fine tuning of positive group delay dispersion in optical systems using ultrafast lasers with femtosecond pulses.

The broadband antireflection coating applied to the front and back surfaces allow nearly loss-free transmission of sub-10 femtosecond pulses. The windows feature low dispersion, low loss coupling and low wavefront distortion.

Designed for a broad wavelength range from 620 to 980 nm and an angle of incidence of 0 to 20°, the windows come in 12.7-, 25.4- or 30-mm sizes with a thickness of 0.5 or 1 mm.
