Operating since 2001, BMV Optical Technologies is a manufacturer of very high precision optical components, systems and thin-film coatings. Manufacturing from prototype to volume quantities, our products are primarily used in laser based applications and our clients are involved in the telecom, satellite, R & D, machine vision, medical, industrial and military sectors. We are an extremely diversified company and provide all manufacturing services “on-site” beginning with processing of the raw material to the delivery of the coated optical assembly.

Working from client supplied specifications, drawings or samples, BMV manufactures a wide range of products including but not limited to:

   •  Lenses (cylindrical and spherical)
   •  Precision flats
   •  Beam splitters (cube and plate)
   •  Prisms
   •  Etalons (solid and optically contacted air-spaced)
   •  Complex machined glass mechanical parts
   •  Coated optics (BMV manufactured and client supplied) Dielectric or Metallic coatings from UV (as low as 248nm) through the visible to the NIR and IR (10.6µ).
   •  Guassian Reflectivity Mirrors

BMV works with a wide range of substrate materials which include fused silica, BK7, all Schott and O'Hara glasses as well as ZnSe, Ge, Si, Yag, Mgf2, Caf2, Sapphire, Zerodur, ULE etc. BMV maintains its own fully equipped machine shop with CNC machining centers and lathes. Our full-time machinists produce our own internal tooling as well as manufacturing mounts or housings for client assemblies. BMV services include complete optical, opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly. We maintain a Class 7 clean room and an extensive metrology department to complement our manufacturing and assembly services.
