Request InfoHamamatsu CorporationHamamatsu’s MEMS-FPI spectrum sensors (C13272 series) are a more compact and less expensive option for measuring NIR spectra than a multichannel detector and associated optics. These sensors consist of an InGaAs PIN photodiode and a miniature Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) that scans through a range of NIR wavelengths from 1550 nm to 1850 nm. The FPI is fabricated using MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) technology, making the interferometer compact enough to fit into a TO-5 metal can package. The package is also hermetically sealed, so the sensor is resistant against humidity....See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra September 2023 IssueNIR SensorsKyoto Semiconductor’s KPR series features 14 SWIR reflective sensors designed for use in a wide range of applications including medical and healthcare fields, analysis and measurement fields,...Vision Spectra Autumn 2023 IssueSWIR LensThe Ophir® SWIR and NIR 25-250 mm f/5.5 (NFOV) f/4.0 wide-field-of-view continuous zoom lens from MKS Instruments Inc. is a compact, rugged device for 5- and 10-µm SXGA and 15-µm VGA...Photonics.com 1/23/2024Radiometric DetectorsThe Silux-37xx Series from Gigahertz-Optik in collaboration with Oculus Photonics and HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH are silux radiometers made to measure ambient lighting conditions in an unambiguous...BioPhotonics Sep/Oct 2022 IssueSlide ScannerThe C13220-21MDEU NanoZoomer® S360MD slide scanner system from Hamamatsu is a high-throughput, in vitro diagnostic regulation-compliant model for use in hospitals and clinical laboratories. ...ARTICLESPhotonics Spectra July 2022 IssueTwo Ceremonies Honor Photonics Technology Innovators in Munich, AachenThe jury of the Innovation Award 2022 has named winners of its annual awards at LASER World of PHOTONICS (LASER Munich), recognizing six companies that will take home top prizes in seven categories....BioPhotonics Nov/Dec 2023 IssueImec Spinout Axithra Raises $10M for Chip-based Raman TechAxithra, a spinout of imec and Ghent University, has raised €10 million ($10.7 million) in a seed round to develop a chip-based Raman spectroscopy platform to monitor drug concentration in the...Photonics Spectra October 2023 IssueThin-film Silicon Photodetector Rivals III-V CounterpartsResearchers at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) are developing a strategy to boost the light absorption of thin silicon films.
