VICTOR, N.Y., May 25, 2017 — The 871 Series of Pulsed Laser Wavelength Meters from Bristol Instruments Inc. can measure accuracies as high as ± 0.2 parts/million.

The model 871 also has a sustained measurement rate of 1 kHz. Featuring a Fizeau etalon design to measure laser wavelength of both pulsed and continuous wave lasers, the 871 calibrates automatically with a built-in wavelength standard. The 871 system is available for operation from 375 to 1700 nm. Pre-aligned fiber-optic input ensures optimum alignment, resulting in uncompromised accuracy.

The devices operate with a PC running Windows via a standard USB and Ethernet interface. Measurement data can also be displayed anywhere in the lab on a tablet or smartphone using a web-based application. In addition, an integrated proportional-integral-derivative controller benefits researchers who need active regulation of their laser’s frequency.
