The device can measure in two axial directions simultaneously, even when its laser transmitter and receiver are more than 35 ft apart. With a 0.001-in. accuracy, the Microgage 2D is suitable for use in paper and rolled steel mills, wire forming operations, machinery rebuilders, automotive and aircraft assembly, and shipbuilding.
