SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 10, 2017 — Industrial Femtosecond Hybrid Fiber LaserThe Spectra-Physics Spirit 1030-100 industrial femtosecond hybrid fiber laser from MKS Instruments Inc. delivers >100-W IR power and >100-J pulse energy with ultrashort <400-fs pulses for fast, highest-quality micromachining.

The laser offers high flexibility with optional integrated second harmonic generation for >50-W green output, burst mode and triggered pulse output. It offers adjustable repetition rates from single shot to 10 MHz and an integrated pulse picker for single-pulse selection and fast power control for high-process throughput.

With 24/7 industrial reliability, the Spirit 1030-100 is ideal for high-throughput micromachining in consumer electronics, clean energy, automotive, medical devices and other industrial applications. It is ideal for machining of hard, brittle materials including glass, sapphire and polycrystalline diamond as well as thin metals and polymers.
