MEYLAN, France, July 20, 2017 — The DTT35XS Double Tip Tilt from Cedrat Technologies SA is a piezo tip tilt platform to move or to position a mirror along two axes of rotation.

The system’s purpose is to make a point-ahead mechanism, a fast steering mirror or a beam steering mirror. The DTT35XS off-the-shelf version is based on two pairs of APA35XS amplified piezoelectric actuators displaying 35 µm of stroke each, arranged in a cross configuration to allow an angular detection of +/- 2 mrad around the X and Y axes. Each pair of APA35XS is electrically driven in a push-pull configuration and controlled in position by the standard CCBu20 controller box.

Applications include microscanning, optical image or line-of-sight stabilization, high-precision pointing and fast steering mirrors.
