NEUHAUSEN AUF DEN FILDERN, Germany, Oct. 2, 2017 — IR Temperature SensorA BTS infrared temperature sensor with IO-Link interface and two switching outputs from Balluff GmbH is designed for hot surroundings.

The device can monitor temperatures between 250 and 1250 °C, detect hot objects in motion and record temperature values without contact. The pyrometer features rugged M30 stainless steel housing with IP67 protection and offers a multifunction display with plain text information and automatic display orientation. In addition to two switching outputs, the pyrometer provides an IO-Link interface for remote parameter setting and direct data exchange with the controller or control panel.

Applications include steelworks, foundries, forging, the ceramics industry and glassworks, among others.
