CAMARILLO, Calif. — Single-Channel IR DetectorThe BXT2-17TF single-channel IR detector from Opto Diode Corp. features an integrated 4.67-µm optical bandpass silicon filter.

The high-performance lead selenide cooled device provides excellent sensitivity for industrial carbon monoxide detection in harsh environments. The two-stage, thermoelectrically cooled, packaged device with integrated thermistor provides additional sensitivity for low-level-emissions detection and enhanced temperature stability for use in harsh environments where temperatures are in constant flux.

The device has minimum responsivity of 1.2 × 105 V/W with the active-element temperature controlled to -30 °C. Housed in a standard TO37 can, the unit has a 2 mm² active area. Absolute ratings for storage and operating temperatures range from -40 to 85 °C. Additional uses include carbon monoxide gas analysis, environmental monitoring, process control systems and industrial burner monitoring and control.
