SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Nov. 15, 2017 — Photovoltaic Atomic Force MicroscopyOxford Instruments Asylum Research Inc. has announced the Photovoltaic Option for the MFP-3D Infinity Atomic Force Microscope, expanding the device’s versatility.

The Photovoltaic Option provides researchers with a versatile turnkey solution for a wide range of sample heights and illumination sources. Together, the MFP-3D Infinity and Photovoltaic Option enable high-resolution imaging and advanced electrical characterization with techniques such as conductive atomic force microscopy, electrostatic force microscopy and Kelvin probe force microscopy.

The modes are critical for investigating photocurrent and related photoresponse, including effects caused by heterogeneous interfaces, grain boundaries and/or phase-separated domains.
