Near Eye Display The GS-1290 NED Near Eye Display from Gamma Scientific Inc. is designed to accurately capture spectral measurements of virtual reality, mixed reality, augmented reality and helmet-mounted displays as viewed by the human eye.

The display features telescope optics compact enough to fit inside a helmet and designed to point in different directions to emulate the movement of the human eye. It also contains a GS-1290 detector-based grating spectroradiometer with high-sensitivity design using single- or double-stage, thermoelectrically cooled multi-element back-thinned CCD.

The auto focus system includes hardware and software to focus the virtual image. It also determines and reports the virtual image distance. The focus range is infinity to 1-m virtual image distance.
