dTUBEHamamatsu Corp. has released a high-sensitivity, high-speed photomultiplier tube that can simultaneously detect multiple wavelengths. The R5900F-L16's matching interference filter array, which is attached to the input window, quickly obtains accurate information on the target wavelengths. It features a spectral response of 400 to 700 nm in 20-nm steps, 1 x 106 gain and 1-nA dark current. With an effective area of 0.75 x 16 mm, this tube has cathode-radiant sensitivity of 34 mA/W at 400 nm and 24 mA/W at 600 nm. The device is suitable for compact, lightweight instruments used in high-speed spectrophotometry applications.
