Matrox Imaging has created version 6.1 of the Matrox Imaging Library software development tool kit for machine vision, medical imaging and image analysis. This programming library offers an extensive set of optimized functions for image capture, transfer, processing, analysis and display. MIL 6.1's JPEG Software Codec, which performs baseline or lossless compression/decompression on monochrome and color (RGB) images, can perform 400% faster and offers more flexibility and image fidelity than the previous MIL version.
