Featuring the company's patented air bearing, the MPC-32 motor polygon assembly from Lincoln Laser offers a low-cost alternative for high-speed scanning. The device, which is about 1/4 the size of other standard motor polygon assemblies, has a speed range from 16,000 to 32,000 rpm, allowing for faster data output. Its speed stability is <0.015% over 1000 revolutions, and the company says the MPC-32 has the greatest mean time between failures in its class. Gold coatings are available for high durability and high reflectivity in the near-IR and IR, while aluminum coatings may be obtained for visible and UV wavelengths.
