The 800 series allows any size scientific CCD to be read through one, two or four output ports simultaneously. A 16-bit digitizer provides readout speeds of 100 kHz to 1 MHz, or a 15-bit digitizer can be used at higher speeds. The camera's multistage thermoelectric cooler drops the CCD temperature to as low as 250 °C.
