ILX Lightwave Corp. designed its 3-A laser diode current source module for use with its LDC-3916 multichannel laser diode controller. The LDC-3916338 module features high compliance voltage for long cable runs, adjustable voltage limits, four-wire voltage sense, slow-start turn-on circuits, independent current limits and isolated power supplies. Specifications include a 0- to 3000-mA output range, 80-µA setpoint resolution and temperature coefficient ≤100 ppm/°C. Its short-term stability is ≤50 ppm and its long-term stability is ≤75 ppm.
