A picosecond-pulsed blue diode laser system is available from PicoQuant GmbH. It offers a center wavelength of 400 nm, ultrashort laser pulses down to 50 ps full width half maximum, a repetition rate from single shot to 40 MHz, average power of 1 mW at 40 MHz and peak power up to 400 mW. Also featured are external electrical trigger input and low-jitter electrical sync output. Applications are expected in bioanalytics, biochemistry, genetics, optical storage and semiconductor characterization and quality control.
