Noah Industries Inc. offers a fiber optic power meter for test and measurement, and automated power monitoring applications. The Lab Boy is a Springboard-compatible plug-in module for the Handspring visor. The visor, along with NLight software, provides simultaneous three-way display and stores data for download to a computer. The meter logs data at 1-, 10- or 60-s intervals, saves data in a spreadsheet file and provides graphs in real time. The standard model has a universal connector that accepts 2.5-mm ferrules. Specifications include a measurement range of +7 to -65 dBm, accuracy of ±25 dB and resolution of 0.1 dB.
