Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH has released the CleanScan spectrometer system for sensitive online measurement of absorption in the UV range and for direct analysis of residue traces in cleaning solutions. The company says it offers shorter wash times in the cleaning process for higher production capacity and reduced consumption of methanol and other cleaning agents. The spectrometer system comprises a proprietary UV diode-array MCS 500 spectrometer connected via fiber optics to an external flow cell, which is either integrated into a bypass loop or mounted on the housing.
