The Lepton IV series of diode lasers from Micro Laser Systems provide a 1-mm-diameter beam with low divergence. Designed for research and high-performance instrumentation, they feature a circular output beam with a low wavefront error, making them suitable for illumination of small objects and for focusing down to micron-size spots. Available from 405 to 1550 nm, they can operate in single longitudinal mode under certain conditions. The lasers have applications in microscopy, fluorescence excitation, Raman spectroscopy and particle analysis. A thermoelectrically cooled version is available to stabilize wavelength, to minimize mode hops or for slight wavelength tuning. Accessories designed specifically for focusing, expanding or modifying the beam are available.
