SAN FRANCISCO, March 28, 2014 — The 100G ROSA product line from NTT Electronics offers coherent transport systems to address increasing network bandwidth demand.

Consisting of both p-i-n and avalanche photodiode (APD) devices, ROSA offers solutions for data centers and networks that continue to grow in size while requiring high data rates and long distances. The devices extend the reach of 100G links to longer than 10 km with low power dissipation.

Eliminating the need for semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) preamplifiers, ROSA offers high performance and sensitivity while reducing size.
