The dual-rate 100G CFP2 LR4 transceiver from NeoPhotonics provides a module solution for bandwidth-hungry datacenter applications where both density and low power are required.

The 100G CFP2 LR4 transceiver is designed to fully comply with the IEEE 802.3 100GBASE-LR4, CAUI-4 electrical interface and OTN OTU4 standards for link distances up to 10 km. It also complies with CFP2 MSA and MDIO functionality.

The CFP2 ELM laser and driver for the transceiver shortens the design cycle time and can be available as a 100G Quad TOSA or as matched Chip on Carrier. The CFP2 is the first 100G interface that provides face plate density advantages over 10G SFP+.
