1550-nm CCD CAMERA The SP-1550M CCD camera from Spiricon incorporates a fluorescent phosphor that increases response and sensitivity of low-level telecom signals in the near-IR wavelength range between 1460 and 1625 nm. The device can analyze the output of optical fibers, laser diodes, LEDs and VCSELs, and can profile NIR lasers such as optical parametric oscillators. The company says the phosphor has approximately three times the conversion efficiency of the previous model, making the camera suitable for use with lower-power devices. The SP-1550M is compact and uses standard RS-170 output.
