CAMARILLO, Calif., Feb. 6, 2013 — For inspecting printed circuit boards and chip packages, Emulation Technology Inc. has launched a 2-megapixel digital microscope. The handheld device connects to a USB port, and color images appear on a computer screen.
The tubular imaging system consists of an optical lens, image sensor, an illumination mechanism and an image transfer control circuit to connect with a PC. It reduces debug and analysis time by putting the microscope right on the user’s desk.
Users can display captured circuit images on their computer screens, store, print and attach them to email, magnify circuit probe points up to 200 times for accurate measurement; and enlarge and photograph probe points for easy identification.
The system includes an adjustable microscope workstation and attachments, and an LED adjustable light source.
