Photonic Products Ltd. has added a 25-mW version to its line of 405-nm laser diode modules with TTL modulation. The module produces a stable 2 x 3.5-mm beam and has an antireflection-coated aspherical glass lens that can be adjusted to produce a collimated beam or a focused spot. It operates from 8 to 12 VDC at 80 mA, has a typical beam divergence of <0.6 x 0.3 mrad and works in the range of —10 to 50 °C. It is suitable for biomedical and biochemical analysis applications such as flow cytometry and laser-induced fluorescence sensing as well as for food processing, spectroscopy, microscopy and medical imaging. A 25-mm mounting flange is available.
