FORT MYERS, Fla., July 15, 2010 — Crystek Corp.'s CVCO55CC-2510-2610 VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) operates from 2510 to 2610 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5 to approximately 4.5 V. It offers good linearity, and typical output power is 3 dBm.

The coaxial resonator oscillator is packaged in an industry-standard 12.7 × 12.7-mm surface-mount device package. Input voltage is 5 V, with a maximum current consumption of 40 mA. Pulling and pushing are minimized to 1.5 MHz peak-to-peak and 1.5 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is -15 dBc, typical.

Tuning voltage is 0.3 VDC, minimum, and 4.7, maximum. Tuning sensitivity is 38 MHz/V, phase noise at 10-kHz offset is -108 dBc/Hz and, at 100-kHz, -128 dBc/Hz. Load impedance is 50Ω, and input capacitance is 22 pF. Operating temperature ranges from -40 to 85 °C.

The oscillator is suitable for use in applications such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems and base stations.
