SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 22, 2020 — 2D Lidar SensorThe M1 2D lidar sensor from Quanergy Systems Inc. is designed for mid- to long-range, high precision measurement applications.

The sensor provides accuracy and object-detection at long ranges. It is meant to increase accuracy, efficiency, and productivity by helping automate critical processes in industrial applications such as logistics in warehouses, factories, and other industrial facilities. It can also provide more accurate detection at loading zones of cargo containers onto trucks at busy port terminals.

With M1, industrial automation organizations can now more precisely detect objects up to 70 m at 10% reflectivity, ideal for complex outdoor applications such as loading and unloading containers on and off ships. With an angular resolution of 0.033° and 360° coverage, M1 offers fine resolution.
