Scan SystemThe XL SCAN scan system from SCANLAB GmbH features an additional axis, processing workpieces of unlimited size by combining a 2D scan head with an XY positioning stage.

A dynamic z-shifter enables highly precise surface processing of 3D-shaped workpieces in any size. Because the galvo-based z axis works without transmissive elements, it keeps up with the scan head’s fast performance and flexibly guides the laser spot. Users input the desired 3D contour, and processing can even be simulated beforehand.

Applications include processing of windshields and surface structuring of mold tools, among other uses.
