VisionMap A3 EdgeVisionMap Ltd. has added 3-D capabilities to its Mist and A3 Edge aerial cameras used in defense applications.

The new 3D Edge feature communicates with a ground-based image processing system to create 3-D models of landscapes. The data can be used to plan ground missions, calculate lines of sight and measure building features.

Compact and autonomous, the Mist color and thermal cameras may be used on manned and unmanned aircraft. The A3 Edge camera (pictured), designed for manned aircraft, is comprised of two CCD image sensors with a footprint of 78,000 pixels.

Both systems generate orthophotographic and oblique imagery simultaneously.
