Trenion 3D HD from Carl Zeiss Meditec AG is a modular extension of the company’s OPMI Pentero and OPMI Pentero 900 surgical microscopes. It enables high-definition three-dimensional co-observation inside and outside the operating room. It supports live image transmission and use of recorded videos for education and training, allowing residents, operating room teams and conference attendees to visualize the surgical procedure from the surgeon’s vantage point.

Leveraging the open platform approach of the OPMI Pentero visualization system, Trenion 3D HD enables surgeons to share brilliant, apochromatically corrected 3-D images seen previously only through the eyepieces of a surgical microscope. The 3-D visualization of the surgical field enables a more comprehensive and detailed understanding of complex anatomy. Live streaming capability in full high-definition (HD) quality enhances the educational experience to audiences outside of the operating room without compromising microscope balance and movement.

With seamless integration into existing IT infrastructures, system startup at the press of a button, and simultaneous video recording on the external USB hard drive and integrated recorder, surgeons can focus on the clinical procedure.
