Lumex.jpgLumex has introduced the AstraLED RGBs for use in kitchen appliances, communications equipment, medical devices, and automotive and sign applications that require bright, intense light and low power consumption. The RoHS-compliant devices provide ultrabright full-color output in a 3-W package and deliver light intensity of 8, 25 and 20 lm at 300 mA (red), 350 mA (green) and 350 mA (blue) of current, at an operating temperature of –30 to 85 °C. They have an off-the-board height of 3.3 mm and occupy a circuit board footprint that measures 10 × 16 mm. They are available in tubes for automatic insertion and can withstand standard lead-free reflow soldering temperatures of up to 260 °C.
