ITASCA, Ill., May 31, 2016 — 3D Measurement SystemKeyence Corp. of America has announced the VR-3000 series of instant 3D measurement systems.

The VR-3000 devices allow an instant, noncontact, 3D scan of a wide area, easily measuring rough surfaces, flatness, warpness and planarity. Batch analyses can be performed between multiple samples simultaneously under the same condition. It can also compare measurement results directly to CAD data.

The VR-3000 can also automatically detect if a part is acceptable based on user-defined tolerances, allowing instant pass/fail inspection.
