KARLSRUHE, Germany, Sept. 9, 2019 — 3D Profile InspectorThe Smart Sense Saturn 3D Profile Inspector from EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH allows the single-button training of any profile.

The system features a GigE Power Over Ethernet (PoE) interface, which is connected to the DIN-rail module. Eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs in 24-V technology emit a signal to communicate with a PLC or in the case of an error.

The 3D laser triangulation sensor with Linux OS and PoE can process high data rates supported by the integrated field-programmable gate array. The compact 3D sensor has an encoder interface with profile rates of up to 6 kHz to allow for high-precision 3D profiling. The Saturn 3D is available with different laser option such as red and blue lasers, depending on customer needs.
