SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 21, 2022 — The ZED-X stereo camera from Stereolabs Inc. is a 3D robot camera optimized for the outdoors, bringing 3D perception to robots in agriculture, construction, and logistics.

By fusing 3D spatial data from multiple ZED-X stereo cameras, the perception platform allows robots to navigate and detect obstacles in any complex environment. An IP66-rated aluminum enclosure, GMSL2 connection, and native multicamera synchronization allow use in production-scale deployments of autonomous robots under the most rugged conditions. With the ZED SDK and the ZED Hub multicamera control platform, the camera provides 360° depth sensing, localization, object detection, and skeleton tracking. Available in two form factors, 3D perception is provided at a range of .2 to 20 m for navigation and .08 to 12.5 m for object detection during core process automation.
