VANCOUVER, Canada, April 14, 2016 — LMI Technologies Inc. has announced the HDI Advance R4x 3D scanner designed for industrial metrology customers who need a versatile measuring solution.

The high-precision scanner quickly generates 3D models and offers flexibility for scanner setup. A stable carbon fiber bar for mounting cameras allows customers to use the scanner over extended periods of time without the need for recalibration. The FlexScan3D high-end scanning engine automatically aligns scans, edits 3D models, exports the models into various formats and automates the user’s processing workflow through a powerful and easy-to-use scripting environment.

Applications include use in the automotive, aerospace parts inspection and reverse engineering fields.
