VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada, Oct. 1, 2015 — LMI Technologies Inc. has announced the Gocator 3109, a compact, calibrated, blue LED stereo snapshot sensor.

Delivering high-precision 3D point-cloud acquisition, measurement and control decision capabilities in a single device, the sensor is designed for industrial assembly line builders to perform full in-line inspection. Gocator 3109 minimizes the number of required components in multifeature inspection systems for quality control on a stationary target where sensors are mounted on fixed frames or robots.

The device measures 49 × 100 × 155 mm and weighs less than 1.5 kg, making it possible to mount onto robotic arms, fit single or multiple sensors into confined spaces, and integrate into machines or other factory devices.
