Atlas Orion from Aeva is a 4D lidar sensor for smart infrastructure and security. Atlas Orion is designed with high-resolution detection and dynamic object tracking for transportation safety, security, and crowd monitoring applications. The sensor features a detection range of <500 mfor vehicles and <200 m for road users. Atlas Orion has a 120° field-of-view and an ultrafine angular resolution of 0.05° × 0.05°. The sensor meets NEMA-TS2 traffic signal control standards for durability in demanding environments. It can operate reliably in nighttime and low-light conditions and is unaffected by sunlight glare and immune to blooming or ghosting from reflective surfaces such as road reflectors and street signs. For easy installation, Atlas Orion can be installed with a single Gigabit Ethernet cable for both data and power.
