WAYNE, N.J., March 19, 2010 – JVC Professional Products has announced the 10-megapixel DLA-SH7NLG, a 4K D-ILA (direct-drive image light amplifier) projector incorporating three 1.27-in. 4K2K (4096 × 2400) display devices and dual ultrahigh-pressure mercury lamps for 5000-lm brightness. It is suitable for use in planetariums, museums, simulators and medical institutions.

A wire-grid optical engine produces a native contrast ratio of 10,000:1. Multiscreen projection is facilitated by four dual-link input terminals supporting an array of PC formats, and a low latency mode accommodates simulation environments. In single-lamp mode, the projector chooses the lamp with less operating time for maintenance efficiency.

The design offers options including stacking two projectors to display 3-D images or installation on a ±90° tilt. Three lens types, including short-focus and telescopic, are available. Three gamma tables are included, and six test patterns enable image adjustment without external signal sources.
