Cobolt.jpgThe Cobolt Samba 532-nm single-mode CW solid-state laser is now available in a model that has output power of up to 300 mW. Released by Cobolt AB, the true single-longitudinal-mode device has a linewidth of <1 MHz, noise of <0.3% rms and beam quality of M2 <1.1 over a temperature range of 10 to 40 °C. It typically consumes less than 25 W and is manufactured in a compact and hermetically sealed package designed to tolerate harsh environmental conditions. Applications include high-resolution Raman spectroscopy, particle sizing, holography, flow dynamics and high-speed fluorescence analysis.
