Cobolt AB has enhanced the performance of Samba, a diode-pumped solid-state laser that operates at 532 nm. Besides providing 25-, 50- or 100-mW CW output, the single longitudinal-mode laser now offers 150 mW. It is available with either a compact OEM controller for system integration or a CDRH controller for stand-alone lab use. The instrument delivers a beam quality of M2<1.2 and noise intensity of <0.3% rms, while consuming minimal power. Applications include bioanalysis, Raman spectroscopy and interferometry.
